2003 S60 back passenger seat footwell floods

Post by jvpalerm »

The back passenger seat footwell floods. I understand that it might be a plugged A/C drain. How do I fix it?

It could also be the door seal which happened to me recently...on mine the top rear corner of the front door outer seal had a small piece missing. I only found it when we had a storm and I found 3 inches of water in the footwell. It pools in the rear of the car.....the other cause of course could be the A/C drain....also worth checking the sunroof drains if you have a sunroof as they can get blocked up. It's a royal pain to dry the carpet too....I had to strip all of the seats out to get the carpet out. The carpet is foam backed so it won't dry in the car....took 2 weeks to dry in my garage! The seals are very expensive from volvo....on mine I also noticed drops of water on the door threshold but initially dismissed them.
