1997 V90 Gas leaking at top when filling up

Hey I like your subject layout....Year Car Problem!

Had the fuel pump replaced in Oct 2014. They must not have tightened something. When we fill up there is a strong gas smell inside and out. And this last fill up left a big gas trail though Costco's parking lot and they had to put cones out and kitty litter. Drives ok. Still shows full. Anything we can check or do on our own before taking it in Monday morning?

UPDATE: I took it in and they said the fuel filler tube was split and replaced that. Big job had to drop the gas tank.

BUT.....it did it again! I took a video. Was like a waterfall under the car! They must have fixed the first thing they found and stopped looking. I think the gas tank must be cracked or a seam. Must be at the top since all the gas doesn't spill out. Really strong gas smell in (& out) car. We were out of town, no wonder dog was crying and fussing more and differently than usual. We've been poisoning our dog! Had to drive home with the windows down. 2 hours Reno to Sacramento. It was cold. Rained and snowed on us.

Have you tried putting the gas nozzle in as far as it will go and stropping when it first clicks off. Any more than the first click is too much.

What would that do? It still was coming out from under the middle of the car for like 5 minutes after we stopped filling it.

Ugh. Not only smelly and noxious but dangerous. I'm afraid there is little recourse other than dropping the tank and inspecting for holes.
