99 s80 tranny won't engage

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

I just did a full top end rebuild on my 99 2.9l s80. Rebuilt head, water pumpp, timing belt, cleaned up the intake. ETM has issues so that is going to xemodex. Anyway prior to pulling the car into my garage and tearing everything down transmission was fine. The other day after I rebuilt everything I started it up to test it. Runs good, other then the ETM issues, but here is the kicker it will not engage into gear. No matter gear I select it acts like it is in neutral. I would say tranny went bad but given it was fine when I put it in the garage thinking not likeley. Is there some sensors or wiring I should check that I may have knocked off when I was doing all of the other work?

Anybody?? Repaired ETM came today and is in. Motor is purring like a kitten so if I can figure out why the car now will not go into gear I can have it back on the road.
