2005 V70 Dashboard service lights

Hi I have 2 problems with my V70 Petrol 170 both may be linked.

I have both the Normal Service and Service Rear Park Assist lights coming up on my dashboard. i have tried to cancel both using the normal ignition and speedo button but although i get a beep neither go of when I turn the ignition on next. Indeed I just get the 045 message. I tried using my code reader but when I plug it in it says that it cannot establish a connection.

Do i have a problem with the sofware on my car or is there something I am missing? is there anyother way to turn of this codes.

With the rear reversing sensors, they appear to be working in the warm weather but not during the winter. Is there an obvious reason for that. Is there any easy fixes before I start taking bumper off etc.
