2000 V70 speakers cutting out SC-816 - bad fader

2000 V70 speakers cutting out SC-816 - bad fader

SC-816 front-to-rear fader control is cutting out right front and rear right speakers.
Is there a way to fix it?

You could try spraying one of the "contact cleaner" sprays in the fader slot to see if that helps. I've used "Deoxit" and the CRC contact cleaner with good results in some cases.
Another alternative is a trip to the junkyard, where the SC816 unit can be found in many of Volvos from 1995-2000.

I bought CRC 2-26 ($3.20) from Home Depot, sprayed it in the fader slot (and other slots) and everything seems to be working fine. Thanks!

Sounds good. The CRC 2-26 is the stuff I've been using too. It's so much less expensive than the Deoxit and seems to work pretty well.
