1997 850 Radio, cd and tape deck malfunction
1997 850 Radio, cd and tape deck malfunction
The car was idle for five(5) months and now the audio deck registers "Off" when powered on. The unit's buttons do not respond to the four(4) digit code when pressed. The car is operational in all other aspects. Any similar experience out there and furthermore; any advice for a corrective solution other than replacement.

Thank you. Further research informed me that two hours in the #1 key ignition position;(prior to starting the car) will change the "off" position to the "code" position on the radio. Completed this about an hour ago and entered the code...everything back in operation. Thanks again rspi and thank you MVS
