1994 855T 143 code and boost

Post by azureblue »

Now that spring is here, I can sort out my 143 (front knock sensor signal) code. I have not started on it yet, but it looks to me that I will have to pull the manifold to visually inspect the sensor, and replace it, if needed. Please correct me if I'm wrong, though. I am hoping it is a bad connector, but I haven't gotten under the hood to locate it - I hope that doesn't require pulling the manifold..

One other question - will a code 134 keep the boost down? I am assuming it will - the timing would be pulled back to protect the engine, but I don't know enough to know if the other knock sensor is the back up..

Thanks in advance for any advice.....
