Found 98 v70 t5 on Craigslist. Checked the car over and seems in good shape. Leaking steering pump and mount over engine cracked. A little rust.No smoke a little oil around turbo but drives well. Any opinions?

I saw that ad too. It looks like a nice car. A little oil around the turbo is a good sign, it means they didn't steam clean the engine to hide anything. 3k is on the high side for a 98 but for that mileage a good deal, that is I think it is just priced to sell.

You can still expect a stream of repair needs even though it is low mileage: suspension will be due soon (control arms, struts, note they did the tie rods recently), ABS will go out, probably needs PCV right now due to a lot of low mileage trips, etc. Consider all of the usual thing when buying a used car but it looks like it may be a great vehicle if you want to get into a turbo V70.

I ran the carfax and it came back clean. It had the ecm replaced ten years ago. does this car have the 7th or 105k maintenance on the timing belt? Because there wasn't any notes of that

70k. You would put a TB belt in it regardless on time, unless there was a receipt or sticker for it.
