V70R front spring height vs. other models

Post by sanfelice »

Quick question: is there any difference in ride height from T5 to R, etc?

Are the part numbers for the springs the same? What about the 98/99 Rs?

I'm trying to restore my ride height from lowered springs and want to return to the stock springs, but I'm not sure if all springs will work for this model.

Can't answer your question, but I can tell you your springs are color coded for identification. Also, if you read up on how to understand your chassis plate above the battery, there is an identifier number and character (e.g. 1F, 2B, etc.) that identifies your car springs. I know the rears on my 2000 'R' are coded 'Blue' as I am working on them. Without knowing the code for a T5 or anything else I can't give you more details. If you can get me a code from a T5 and from your car I can tell you if they are the same. The identifier for your car is the last 8 digit number on the lower right of the chassis plate. The first 2 digits are your front spring type, the next digit is the front anti-swaybar, the rear shocks, the next your rear spring, and the next the rear anti-swaybar.

This link gives a layout of the plate. You are looking for the second last line under the word 'Touchup'
