2000 S70 GLT Engine Ground Straps

2000 S70 GLT Engine Ground Straps

My car came with one ground strap on the passenger side, which has broken. I can't see the attachment point. Can someone tell me what the factory setup looks like?

Passenger side: from cam cover to firewall? to strut tower?

Driver side: from upper torque mount? to where?

As far as I know, from memory, they both bolt up to a small stud on the firewall. My wife has the '99 at work but I will try to pop the head and make sure this evening.

Thanks everyone for your answers. I can't see anything likely on the firewall within reach of the ground strap. Could someone take a picture if you have a chance?

I had the camera out for another post, so took a couple of photos of the rear engine earth straps on my 2000 V70 R. Not sue if they are the same, but hopefully they are. The one in the center by the torque mount I'm fairly sure should be correct. Not sure about the one by the cam belt cover.

Hope this helps somewhat. The Cam cover strap is hidden by a bunch of metal/hard pipes that I couldn't move, but hopefully gives an idea of where to look.

In all P80 models, like misha said, the one by the cam cover mounts to the strut tower or chassis like in those nice pics, not to the firewall.
