The liner of my sunshade has completely come off due to a previous jam. Now I've decided to remove the shade entirely. I have gotten the sunroof removed and the front clips and rear clips removed from the tracks. The shade is completely loose now. However, I can't get the shade out. There is a black, (what looks to me like a sound deflector) at the back of the sunroof opening. The rear of the shade is blocked from coming out as it's hitting this sound deflector.
The screws holding this deflector are really small and under the roof line. I can't get a driver on them. Do I need to remove the gasket from the inside of the car to allow the shade to drop out?
Thanks for any help.

This may be old, but I had the same issue and stumbled upon this forum post, so figured that I would share.
That little tray is a gutter for water to make its way to the drains. It slides back with the glass when the sunroof is open, so it is attached by an arm to the mechanism. There is a screw on each side that takes a T25. Once those screws are removed you can pull the arms away from the sliding mechanism and pull the tray forward to get access to the 4 T15 screws and washers holding the gutter in place.
I took the pics after removing the gutter and the T25 screws holding its arms to the mechanism, but you can get the picture (see what I did there? lol)
I looked at that piece quizically for several days before seeing that little gem.
