electrical problem

I just changed the alternator on my 2000 s70. It ran fine for one day, then the following morning it started fine, ran well at idle but died the second I gave it gas. Any ideas?

Is the battery fully charged? My guess is that you didn't change the alternator just for fun and if the battery is low the car's ECU starts making some bad decisions.
