1998 S70 GLT : Stalls even after operating at normal temp

Post by francisp »

A little bit of history to begin with. This car sat in the garage throughout most of the winter and after the cold got tolerable and I was finally able to afford the parts to repair it, I went ahead and replaced what needed replacing. It got a new radiator, replaced the thermostat housing with the help of Kahl ( invaluable time invested in it at well below freezing temps) and his knowledge of this engine type. It's been 1,300+ miles since I got her back on the road and that was mother's day. She received new plugs, wires, rotor and cap, Fresh fluid change and just recently, new rear shocks. I also gave it a reman MAF with new air filter. The problem is, it stalls every now and again. Sometimes it would go a day or 2 without a hiccup then it would return. It just stalls, regardless or whether its the beginning of a journey or the middle or toward the end of the day. I've been reading about issues with the fuel relay, the codes its spitting out are as follows: P0102 MAF circuit low input and P0455 evap emission cntrl system leak. I have secured a fuel relay from a pick n pull and will work on it tomorrow and see if there are any improvements.
