The roof works when it wants to... then will take multiple pushes of the button to close. Also have an intermittent "Alarm System Maintenance" light. Looking at other responses to similar issues, my roof issues may be related to the alarm system module. Can anyone point me to the appropriate part of the alarm system and were it's located.

Job is done, great tutorial thank you . Did the 3x lock/unlock every thing works a o k . Fyi the siren module has gone up a tad since the tutorial $230 in 2015 and Volvo wanted $600 installed.
Way less than an hour.

It will fail too. Battery is above PCB, not sealed.

I actually cut it open, after testing it, battery and leads were toast. Cleaned board of any traces of acid then soldered a resistor from battery positive to pin 2 I believe, which is connector positive. JB welded back together, this is lifetime.

draser, does this drain your main battery.

I replaced a battery and sealed it in polyethylene. This will last for another 10 years only, but oh well, $12 only :)
