1998 volvo s70 lowering ?

Hey so i was speaking to a guy who is pretty much well into his volvo's and he said don't lower the s70 as in the rear has some bushes and when lowerd it destorys them and everyone he knows who has lowerd an s70 has regretted it. is he right. apprently changing the bushes are a nightmare

Listen to than man's advice unless you have T5 or R.
If you really want to do that properly you will need enough $$$ for Koni springs and shocks.

what will Koni springs and shocks do man compared to other shocks and spings ?

Mine is lowered and has been for several years. I've had zero issues even on our trashed out roads.

Maybe its a question of "how low" before something else is affected. If you get lowering springs, things should go smooth.

I'd go with that.
Just make sure you don't damage any of your suspension parts. Just like lifting a truck, you have to do it right. That's why I don't like to mess with suspension.

Mine has been lowered too - it eats front control arms but that could be the potholes here

i have heard its common for the s70 to eat control arms so its wise to upgrade to heavy duty ones, Matty which springs did u get for your s70 ?

My 850 has H & R springs and I really like them. The ride is not harsher at all but the car corners much better.

I put H&R Sport lowering springs on my 850 Turbo Wagon. It handles like it's on tracks! Do it!
