2003 xc90 bad bearing in turbo

2003 xc90 bad bearing in turbo

I am looking for advice on how to remove and replace turbos on 2003 xc90 with 2.9l inline 6.
Recently I had seen a post that said remove the right halfshaft. I don't understand how this will help.
please advise
