How do you get the starter out?

It can be accessed by taking the fan shroud off or pulling the inlet manifold. The first of the two is the route that you'll want to take if possible, because it's much easier. I don't recall exactly how the starter is actually mounted, but once you can gain access to it, it shouldn't be too tough to figure out where the mounting points are.
