98 V70XC Idle issues with CEL on and off p0171

I have had what has felt like a random misfire for a few months now that eventually turned into a few hundred rpm drop at idle after driving then sluggish off the line after the rpm drop. No codes so I figured time to do the full tune up. I replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter with the kit from FCP. The parts were definitely needed and it ran much better after it was all done.

After a few days of not having the stalling symptoms they came back along with the p0171 code. This is the only code coming up. I have seen a lot of posts with that code being accompanied by others but that is not in my case.

Because of the stumbling issues would that point to bad MAF only or would anything else cause those symptoms with that code.

Forgot that the CEL went off by itself after only two days but came back on today.
