1969 Model 144 Ignition switch needed

I need to fix the ignition lock on our 1969 Volvo 144. It probably needs a new ignition assembly for a column mount automatic transmission. I purchased what was supposed to be the ignition assembly for our car from a Volvo parts warehouse in Indiana. The part they sent me was not for our car and they could not trace it back to the original car, but had it marked as usable in a 144. I am wondering how many of these ignition assemblies were made for the 144 and if any of them were also used on the 120 and 240 series cars. My searching on the web found nothing except ebay parts that are certainly not reliable purchases. I would like to continue my search for the correct ignition lock assembly, but I need to know what to look for and where I can find such an item. Any advice would be appreciated.
