Hello,
This is my first post on the forum, so thanks for having me and I hope to be able to offer some help as well as receive, although I am new to Volvo's (just bought this one about a month or two ago).
So here's my issue:
When I park my car and turn off the motor lots of coolant leaks from the hose connected to the bottom of the coolant expansion tank and also from the cap. The car has not yet overheated. I'm thinking it may have to do with pressure regulation or the thermostat, but I really don't know.
No leaks from the water pump or elsewhere, it is clearly coming from coolant expansion tank.
Any thoughts? I just bought this car and can't see trusting turning it over to a mechanic just yet.
Thank You

thank lummert, the parts are in the mail. Hopefully it's nothing more complicated than that, but I will start there. My worry is that it seems to be under high pressure when it's coming out. Not sure what to make of that.

I just junked my 740 2 weeks ago, similar signs, blown head gasket was pressurizing the coolant.
It was definately fixable but I didn't have time to do it. Donated mine to charity.
What did yours turn out to be?
