98 V70 T5 Please help me identify this part

Post by etf48 »

I was poking around the RF corner of the engine compartment and discovered this part that wasn't connected on one end:

Can somebody here help me identify this part and tell me what it does?

It's connected. on one end, to a wiring harness in the RF corner of the engine compartment:

The end that is not connected seems to be a sensor of some sort and I don't know what it attaches to:

Any help would be much appreciated.

That is the sensor for the window-washer fluid. The wire should be pulled straight, then there is a hole in the top of the bottle, put it in the hole and snug the clear plastic collar into the bottle. The sensor will then be down at the bottom of the bottle.

If the light is not on for the washer fluid, then maybe that bulb is burned out.
