06 s40 driver front window sticking

We just got this s40 and the driver front window seems to be getting stuck going up and down. It keeps moving but it's rough, and when I put the window all the way down, the glass is still showing a few mm. I'm thinking it's the track, but I'm not sure. It's a lot of work to get to it so I was wondering if this is a common occurrence and what the options are od what could be wrong.

I was thinking to get a track and motor setup to replace since I'm going to go through all the work of taking it out but would like to know if there's anything else that could cause this that I should also replace when it's out.
