2000 s80 Climate Control/Blower issue
2000 s80 Climate Control/Blower issue
I have a 2000 s80 Climate Control/Blower issue. Last week my blower stopped working, I pulled it and it started working great. Then it stopped working again. The only difference is now on the plug going to the blower I'm getting 12+ v on Red and black, but getting nothing on the other two wires regardless of the fan speed setting. Everything else on the Climate Control Module works correctly.

Do you have VIDA - if so what is it telling you? If not then you will have to go old school and trace all the power.
Sounds like a possible bad connection somewhere. You need to trace all the wires and check them with a VOM and pay special attention to the connection points. You can do this with the blower still in the car, just pull the plugs. You can test the fan motor - maybe it has a bald spot.
I would then pull the Climate Control Module (CCM) and open it up, look at the board for bad solder joints. If you find some fix them.
NOTE: IF YOUR BATTERY IS CONNECTED AND YOU PULL THE CCM YOU WILL GET AN AIRBAG ERROR that needs a VIDA and/or dealer reset. Disconnect the battery to avoid this - you will need to move the shift lever back to gain the space needed.
Find a wiring diagram here:

and check the wires for damage and continuity.
Your CCM may be having problems. A dealer software flash may fix this - otherwise source a used on with exact part and year numbers.
Other place to look is at the relay related to the CCM and Blower. Reference the wiring diagrams and you will see which one.
That is all I can think off.
