USB-iPod interface inoperable/ electrical gremlins?

Post by scandisk »

2010 S80 3.2

After the USB port/iPod interface connector in the center console spit out its plastic component, I replaced the USB port/connector in the center console, & now my iPod is "unreadable" per the radio display. Anyone have the same issue and able to offer the fix?

A separate issue- after filling the gas tank last week, the fuel gauge read empty, then over the course of a couple hours driving, the gauge gradually began to read 1/4, then 1/2 full. The problem now seems to have resolved itself- anyone else have a similar experience?
Thanks in advance-

RESOLVED!

After being told by the dealer I needed to bring the car in for a software update (min. cost $250 & a 4 hour drive) in frustration I uninstalled & reinstalled the USB connector- magically now, it works! I hope this procedure can help someone with the same issue.
