Hi folks,
Just bought a 2007 XC90. The previous owner informed me that a part in the shifter needs to be replaced. He referred to it as a "claw" and gave me the replacement part.
The reason it needs to be replaced - when the shifter is in DRIVE it sits loosely and will slide over into MANUAL position. Hasn't caused any issues to my knowledge, but because I have the part I would like to replace it.
How would I go about getting into the inner workings below the shifter? Is this a difficult job? I am no mechanic but can follow directions and diagrams. Any help or instruction is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
- Cameron
