2000 Volvo S70 GLT P0722 Code

Hi everyone! I've got an p0722 code which we think may be the output speed sensor we want to know how to test to see if the sensor is bad or not with a multimeter. Any help would be appreciated

Measure resistance and report back, we will try to talk someone into getting data on a good one.

I have a manual with part number 9495008 which is probably different

Tested the resistance and came up infinite, the code went away when we put a new one in but that "new" sensor still came up infinite.

I have same problem, bought 9168039 what has resistance 500 oom ohm (gave from online shop according to database TecDoc )
but did not work, now it cleared out, it fits till 1998. http://www.volvopartswebstore.com/produ ... 68039.html

one side is flat on original sensor, it had text 02u26 0020
also metal dust was bit on this flat side.

is any ABS sensor shape like this, I could solder old wire to it

don't want to buy 120$ new sensor 9495008 for AUTOMATIC ATM

does Manual have same piece with same code?

got fixed my car, with another used OEM sensor. and the seller / volvo repair guy told "it does not show RESISTANCE, it is other type than inductive sensor".
it might be Hall Effect Sensor ? with two wires!

How it started: Cruise Control stopped working in summer with 30*C drive and then Arrow Sign flashing blinking came up.
After over night cooling Cruise worked for 30km and then canceled again.

Got diagnostic with:
Memoscan U581 CAN OBDII scanner : P0721 Generic Output Speed Sensor Circuit Ragne/Perf
and after cleaning it said P0722 Generic Output Speed Sensor No Signal (also with wrong sensor )
Car I-gen V70 2000 year 2,5tdi 103kw atm, sensor 9495008 , AW50-42LE gearbox (repair guy said it is same as 850 except these 2-sensors).

These are classic pick and pull parts to buy rather than buy new
