Got the purge valve to replace, but I'm having a hard time finding the location. I have looked by the fan shroud which seems to be the popular consensus, as well as by the fuel tank (but not the top). This is the part I am referring to.

Have searched all over the internet, but nothing has been found specifically for my vehicle. It's big enough to where you can't miss it, but seems to be somewhere else I'm not looking.
Any help is appreciated in advance. Thank you. (Pictures would help immensely.)

Looking under the hood, at the driver's side of the motor, look between the air cleaner and the fuse box. in the gap between these three items, you will see it buried with hose and electrical connections. Did the top pop off of yours like mine did? common mode of failure. Oh yeah, if it did, it won't look right, you'll see the disc of the body, and the top with electrical connector will be flopping around nearby!

1998 POS70 N/A: DD/training aid, 236k but really about 240k, I think...ABS module( passed on to son who sold it)

Hi,
Any chance that someone might point me to the same diagram to locate the purge pump? I am getting these two error codes and trying to chase down the origin but have to get access to connectors/wires on both the valve and pump. If anyone has any guidance on the likely origin on this problem please let me know as well
P2401 Volvo evaporative emission system leak detection pump control circuit low
P2401 -- ECM-433D -- Leakage diagnostic unit, pump -- Signal too low
P2419 Volvo evaporative emission system switching valve control circuit low
P2419 -- ECM-432D -- Leak diagnostic unit, valve -- Signal too low
Thanks,
- Tim

The leakage detection pump is mounted to the rear axle subframe. One hose leading to it runs from up beside filler neck in Rt rear quarter panel and the other goes to the rectangular charcoal canister than is also mounted by the rear axle subframe. Those hose connections are larger hoses about the size of heater hose.
