1993 Volvo 850 Engine Squeak/Noise

Pretty sure this is a pulley or something, but I cant tell for sure. Seems to lessen on acceleration. worst at idle. Any thoughts?

Mechanic today said it may be the power steering pump.... any thoughts on that?

Power steering pump noise I think. You can definitely tell by listening through garden hose and pointing end at pump, alternator, and tensioner

That's bad by the way. Whatever it is is going to lock up soon

Thanks, What does that cost to fix? looks like i need to find another ride to work lol

2 hours labour plus a guess at 250 retail for a pump, 500 usd total with tax and tip.

Price parts at vendors above ...ipd, FCP euro

Cheapest route...pick and pull fior used one and DIY.

Confirm diagnosis with hose trick first. Don't throw parts at it!
