2000 V70N Strange behavior after repl etm. Code P1633

Post by Chassis »

I just replaced the ETM with a low mileage used one. Got it reprogrammed at the dealer and everything seems perfect. No more hesitations, jumpy accelerations or rough cruise. Smooth as silk! Until engine is warm. Or... everything is fine even then, until I press the brake pedal!
Upon braking the engine stalls and P1633 is set. Occasionally there's a hard and loud BANG, like from a really hard down-shift. I can then restart the engine and drive normal until next time I hit the brake. The problem appears only with warm engine. When cold, everything works OK.

First thought was ABS module but when I swapped back to the old ETM everything works OK (except for the old ETM issues)
The throttle module is the Magneti Marelli p/n 1644347. Car is a 2000 V70N 2.4T
Any thoughts?

Just an idea...
To be able to reach the ETM I had to disconnect a couple of sensors. Could it be that I somehow didn't get them connected right? Could a disconnected sensor cause these issues whit warm car? Involved sensors are the two on the inlet hose (after the intercooler).

Just to let you know
Got ahold on another low mileage used etm. Now everythimg seams to work as it should. Took a 20 miles test ride. So far so good :)
This unit came from another turbo, aut same as mine. No programming required.
