Last night I tried to install an IPD rear sway bar on my wagon but I didn't get very far. Per the instructions I tried to loosen the "Transverse Arm Mounting Nut (21mm)" and the bolt broke under what seemed like light pressure. I was using a regular 3/8" ratchet, so it isn't as though I was torquing on it hard.

My question is this: what is the bolt called, or what is the part number for that bolt? At this point I will likely get two of them and take the whole project to a shop where someone can put it on a lift and do it. I really don't like being all the way under the car when it is up on jack stands anyway.

Wanted to return to this to see if anyone can help me with a way to remove the broken bolt from the transverse arm?

After it broke, I tried to remove the broken bolt, but I have not had any luck. I put a ratchet on the top of the bolt and can turn it but I can only get it up about half an inch, then it simply spins in the hole. I tried using a punch to drive it out, but it does not go. Could it be corrosion since the metals are dissimilar? Is the top of the transverse arm threaded? Any suggestions?
