I just bought a used 2010 S40 with 50k miles. I just took it through the car wash and noticed water started to drip through the windshield in multiple places. It didn't do this the first time I washed it. The windshield also has a tiny chipped spot on it.
I attached an image showing where a water streak is coming in. It didn't look like there was water coming in near the A pillars.
Is this pretty bad news? Like I need a new windshield? I'm worried there might be rust damage. Anyone have advice... never dealt with a leaking windshield before.

If water is coming in from the high pressure car wash it's most likely going to be the seal around the windscreen. See if you can find a supplier that is willing to remove and refit. Otherwise remove any trim on the outside (if there is any) and check for consistency in the seal.
Ask them when you get the chip checked/repaired.
