96 855t, Rounded caliper bracket bolt, front left.

Bout to kick the car off the jack stands over here.

What was supposed to be a 1.5 hour job has turned into a nightmare, with the sun about to set in 45 minutes.

Been hitting this bolt with wd40, heat from a propane torch, my 2 foot breaker bar, and I just rounded the bolt. Aside from taking the wheel hub off and drilling it out, or leaving the old bracket in place, is there anything I can do to fix this situation?

You can try with cutter and hammer. After you unscrew it,you will need a new bolt.
Happened to me 2 years ago when i was replacing driver's side wheel hub.

WD-40 is not a penetrating oil. PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench penetrating oil is what it ought to have had, but that was before the head rounded. It sure wouldn't hurt to apply one of them now.

I'very had success with WD40 and heat before. I didn't have any PB Blaster on hand. Should went and grabbed some.

I installed the new caliper on the old bracket. Not sure if I'm gonna send the new bracket back for the core charge, or keep it if I can somehow get that bolt off someday. Eventually I'll have to when I need a new rotor.

Any ideas on how to remove it?

Wait for a dry week and put PB blaster on it every day for three-five days, Then go at it with a new, sharp socket. You can also loosen it with a chisel banging on the tangent.

Finally, take it to a shop and have them weld a bar to it to twist off.
