I know it sounds like a joke, but after a hard rain this AM, when I got in the car and put it in reverse (slight shake from going into gear) a good bit of water leaked out of the rear view mirror and directly on the gearshift. I would say it was about a tablespoon worth of water, not just a few drops. Came right down the black post that goes up into the map light fixture. No sunroof on this car, or other holes in the roof. Windshield and seals seem tight. First time it's happened, and its certainly has rained before... any ideas?

Windshield seal. Run a bead of black goo, less is more, next time you have some dry days.

RTV sealant is what I used

+1 on that. If you have a sunroof, it could also be the drains are blocked, but windshield is ore likely.
