1999 S70 T5 - ETM interchangeable with one from a GLT

As the title question:
I have a 1999 T5, can I replace the ETM with one from a turbo GLT? (HPT->LPT)
Or is that no good?

Vida/Dice will tell you. If you've plugged the replacement into the donor loom press Update Configuration when entering the Diagnostics section. In Communication- Network see the 2 x software part numbers after highlighting the ETM icon.

Of course if you don't have Vida you might get lucky anyway.

So the numbers should match huh?
Doesnt seem so with the ETM I just put in. Car seems to drive fine though and it passes the etm test with a deviation of 1.3 degrees.
Is there anyway to tell from the sw nr if it is LPT or HPT?

I've replaced mine with a yellow sticker which I bought it off Ebay and have the same part numbers and the car runs fine. I too couldn't find any info as to what model and year it came from. I was just happy to work and on top of that the unit was rebuilt last year

kallekula, that number says that you have latest sw version.
So if donor car is turbo and had also updated sw it will fit if from same MY or CAN config is the same.

If ETM has yellow sticker and was manufactured after 2006 year it will have 100% latest sw.
