1998 S70 Copper End Ftg. on Brake Pipe

Post by Mr. Detail »

Hello all;
Does anyone know either the part number or perhaps a website that would sell the copper end fitting that attaches the right front pass. side brake pipe line to the brake hose?

My friend and I were trying to do a simple job the other night and replace worn out front brake hoses and in the process, my friend rounded off the copper fitting that is on the opposite side of where the steel end of the brake hose attaches. He said there is enough slack in the overall length of the tube run to just cut off the end and add a new fitting. (He has the end-bulbing tool)

Not sure who can sell me just the end fitting.

Thanks!

Quick question kahl. The parts would appear to be Imperial sized and not metric from your picture, or is this just an example?

Because thats the slushy side of the salt, water, and ice that gets sprayed up by the right Front..

Neil, thank you for pointing this out. The imperial worked fine with no seepage. After seeing your post I went over to NAPA and got the exact size wich is a M10X1.0. The nut is made by SUR&R part number is BR230. The brake pipe line size was 3/16.

Interesting re Imperial.

My guess is:
* 3/8 inch ~ 9.50 mm, close enough.
* 24 ~ 0.95 mm spacing, also close enough.
