I'm not a lifelong Volvo tech or even a mechanic by trade, but I've had my '99 V70 T5 for a few years now and have done a good amount of work on it, replacing the following parts:
- all brake rotors/pads, 3 of 4 calipers
- outer tie rod
- sway bar endlink
- serpentine and timing belts w/ tensioner
- tailgate struts
- front struts and hardware
- fuel, oil, and air filters
- coolant, trans. fluid, oil
- PCV system
- ETM (put in xemodex, highly recommended)
- spark plugs/coil
- upper motor mount bushing
- alternator
- probably some other things I can't remember at the moment
