I have a '91 740 and the center brake light will not turn on, the other lights work, and the warning light on the dash eliminates.
The problem is that the bulb gets no power, which hinge contains the wire used for the center light? Anywhere I can get a wiring harness for a 740?
The bulb itself is fine, took it out and tested it,the connections are good too.

With a grounded test light or volt meter, check to see if 12 volts is there or not when brake pedal is depressed.Ryoku75 wrote:'91 740 and the center brake light will not turn on,
Brake switch (Yel-Brn wire) feeds directly to Bulb Failure Sensor.
At Bulb Failure Sensor wiring, the YEL-BLK wire feeds the rear center brake light. So, pull out Bulb Failure Sensor, and find this wire, energize it....if 12 volts back there, then a good chance Bulb Failure Sensor has failed.
