1999 V70 ETM removal

Post by jon1 »

I am trying to take out the ETM module to have it rebuilt by BBM Reman. I was able to disconnect the connector after a while, but the problem I have now is that the wire cable is snaked through, around and under a part of the engine. The connector end is too big to fit through anywhere, so I can't pull it out. Does anyone have experience with this problem?

It's a bracket that holds the starter. Remove it.

Here's an old thread with a bit of detail about removing the bracket.

The turbo P80s have poor access to that whole area. Lots of skinned knuckles.
