My wife was pulling on to the highway and coming up to speed around 60 when the flashing arrow appeared, she said that the car made a ker-plunk. She pulled over and tried to get the flashing arrow to stop, cycling the key, pulling the fuse etc. Nothing seem to work. She managed to get the car home. When I got home I pulled the code and found 1-3-1. I just had the pnp switch replaced around 2000 miles ago. I am now at a lost of what to try next. I did start the car and tried to shift from park to drive and it was rough, also check fluid and was within the limits. The car seemed like it wanted to jump. However the car does shift properly. Could the PNP switch have fail again for some unknown reason. Any HELP would be greatly appreciated!

Possibly you have a faulty Overdrive relay? I had that same issue when I purchased a 1994 940.
It is located behind the fuses in the center dash area.
Hope that helps...
