Hi,
My front brakes were making a squealing noise when coming to a stop. I discussed this with the mechanic and most of it has gone away. I think he might have lubricated the brake pads or shims. Anyhow, I still notice an occasional front brake squeal, usually when going at a very slow speed (taking foot off of brake pedal, and then slowly coming to a stop) or going in reverse and stopping. Does anyone know what could be causing this? The brakes are new and the rotors are in good shape.
Thank you.

Are the brake pads leading and trailing edge 90 degrees or beveled at 45 degrees. I've found that beveling the edges 45 degrees with a grinder did away with squeal. The unknown is the shape of the rotors which can make a contribution to squeal with out having them turned.
