2006 xc70-full brake job questions

Post by AlanS »

2000 6XC 70. I need to do a full brake job on this car, pads and rotors. I've done many in my life, but not on an XC 70. What tools will I need to complete this job? Front and rear? I don't want to start the job to find out I don't have the correct size tools for proper tool for the job

No particular tools for this job, but since it's an European, a set of 3/8" Torx sockets it's a smart buy for future work

I believe the caliper sliding bolts are hex key bolts, not Torx do you will need a set of these as well.

You should plan on replacing the parking brake shoes too.

I have a full set of tools. The question was more about exactly what sizes I needed in preparation. It would be great to start the job with exactly the right sizes for the job rather than discovering what I need as the job progresses.
