2005 v50 changed power steering pump, but will not work.

Post by leowill69 »

I changed power steering pump on my v50 2.4i, it worked for 15 min, after I turned the key off, the power steering will not work. I talked to a volvo garage and said it needed to be reprogrammed, so I took it in and know they are saying I have a short in the wiring some where, or the used pump is drawing to much juice because it keeps blowing the 80amp fuses, I checked the fuses and they are fine. I think the shop just ripped me off, charged me $240.85 and nothing to show for. It was working fine before, I changed it because it was squealing really bad. It was a used pump, got another used pump, and it does not work either. Does anyone have ideas?
