2003 S60 Where are the cabin air flap actuator arms

Hello, all, I seem to be having an issue with my air flap actuator mechanism. I hear a mechanical clicking sometimes coming from my dash and the airflow is being lost somewhere inside. Is it behind the glovebox, or behind the floorboard by the firewall? I didn't see anything behind the dash, or under the center console by removing the sliding plastic part on the passenger. Pics would be helpful. Thanks
