2002 s60 Outside temp doesnt register!!!!

2002 s60 Outside temp doesnt register!!!!

I have been struggling with the outside temp sensor on my volvo. I replaced both the drivers side and the passenger side sensors. Both are located in the underside of the rear view mirror. I used genuine volvo replacement parts. I put the one that said right side on the drivers side and the left side on the passenger side. When i first plugged them in the temp read correct for the 3 mins i had the ignition on. Went inside came back out and got the --. Have checked connections and nothing. If i change the wiring around i can get it to read 167 for a moment then it goes to -- again. pin16 is corroded on either side. Any help please!!!!

i meant to say pin 16 is NOT corroded on either side!!!
