1996 Volvo 850 Trying to put new turn signal bulb socket

Post by tweets3114 »

Hello,
I am doing what looks like a fairly simple repair to my driver's side front turn signal. The socket was corroded and the turn signal not working, so I ordered a new socket, which I received today. My problem is that I cannot get the original socket unplugged. It seems to have a pin that I cannot figure out how to take off. Does anyone know the correct way to unplug the socket? And correct way to plug in the new socket?
Thank you!!

Welcome to MVS, tweets. Are you talking about the wiring connector or where the bulb socket plugs into the turn signal housing?
