I've got an 04 xc90, 06 s40, and a 98 v70 and would like to be able to interact with the individual modules of the cars.

It just regular universal OBD scanner some sort of ELM327 which you can buy on ebay for 5$
If you add volvo sign in picture it does not mean that is made for volvo.
For such money you can buy high quality vida DiCE clone it will work 10x better than this one.

I thought it was just an obd2 but it looks like it has access to the modules

It's an icarsoft. I have one, it does access almost all of the modules on the car. Not all of them, but ALMOST all of them. It does real time readings on a lot of things you wouldn't expect, like wheel sensor readings and things like that. For the money it can't be beat...except buying a vida/dice clone, but this is infinitely faster and easier to use.

I prefer it over using vida/dice. Easier and faster and no hassle getting it running.

I think it is less money on Amazon. Use the mvs link and buy it there.

Hmm I'll check it out on amazon. I came across it randomly and thought it looked pretty cool but I emailed seller and they didn't know anything about it but offered 100% refund if it doesn't work as advertised.
