Hi,
I'm in the middle of an ATF fluid change and am following the VIDA directions to do so. Having done a fluid change previously on my V40, the directions for checking the fluid level at the end of the job suggested that the fluid should be between 40deg and 50deg (I think that was the range) when the level is checked and to adjust accordingly.
There is no mention of this temperature range requirement at all in the VIDA instructions for the V70 with (which obviously has a different tranny). Has anyone else done the full fluid change and verified the level as described in the attached guide? If so, did you simply run through the gears and check level or did you get it to a specific temp range before pulling out the level plug? FYI: the instructions below vary from the ones for my V70 (as far as which pipes to disconnect and where) but essentially it is the same procedure.
