2006 S60 2.5T Winter Mats (Genuine are so-so)

Post by Zoidberg »

So, although it will hopefully be a while until I have to deal with winter weather, it's been in the back of my mind for a little while. I currently have a set of Genuine Volvo winter mats, and while they fit very nicely and are high quality, they don't perform as well as I'd like. Specifically, they leave the dead pedal uncovered (where I rest my left foot), and are not high enough at the sides to protect the carpet from the salt and snow that comes off my shoes.

I know the advice would be to get some of those WeatherTech floor liners, and I definitely would, but according to their website, they're not available for my car :x

Anybody had any luck with other brands or cheap and easy modifications I could try? I'd rather not have to scrub salt off my carpets again this year...
