2015 S60 stereo upgrade?

Has anyone upgraded their stereo in a new S60? My friend just got a new and we want to install an aftermarket subwoofer and amp but we of course want to keep the rest stock.

I have looked at those converters that changes the signal from a speaker wire to RCA but I've also heard that the quality sucks

I have started upgrading mine. So far, I have spliced the feed from the factory amp back to the aftermarket one in the trunk. Had to use the converter, but works fine so far. I replaced the two front woofers with some 2-way kickers. I have polk tweeters on the way as well as the 2ways for the back doors. For the speaker signal, I took the 1&9 and 3&11 pin wires- stripped the wire coat, and soldered the converter's wire to it. I then ran the RCA cables back to the trunk. Im still researching to see if I actually have to run a wire to the battery, or if I can use the fuse box back in the trunk. Im expecting that the tweeters will be the biggest headache as ive found out on here that they are glued in place? I will update you once done.
