2007 S60 Rear Speakers very Muffled.

I've recently noticed a change in the audio quality. The rear speakers are extremely muffled. The front center speaker works as do the front door speakers but even they do not sound right.

When i turn the fader to the rear and increase the volume i can barely hear the rear deck and rear door speakers.

Is this the amplifier? I only ask because most of what i read states only the front center speaker will work if the amp fails.

What head unit do you have?

My 2005 XC70 blew front left speaker. Sound was muffling/disappearing, to me it looked like a problem in amp. But when I replaced HU the problem still was there. Gone away with the new speaker.
